South Africa
James for buying us a computer, installing all the software, and then taking it back (sorry!)

Namibia
The german couple who re-inflated our tyres and followed us to Solitaire to make sure we were OK

Tanzania
The patient man in the Ministry of Tourism who gave us basic tourist info. when we arrived armed with guide book at his plush offices instead of the normal bureau – and thank you to his friend Emma (working in the bureau across town!) who he phoned to help.

Nepal
You put up with me almost being sick on the chicken and narrowly avoiding the front door. Clearing up the mess (and putting up with my feeble attempts to help!), inviting Neil to dine with you, then staying up with me all night making hot sugar water was definitely beyond the call of guesthouse duty. Thank you Nrimala and Kajiman for your kindness.

Sri Lanka
To the kind policeman who managed to get us (at approaching midnight) onto the world’s busiest bus: thank you. We really needed your help and remain very grateful; especially as you insisted on staying with us for 45mins after your shift had ended.

Vietnam
Jenny, you put us up and put up with us in our hour of fatigued need. Thank you. There is always always a bed at ours and a cup of tea for you.

Save the Children
A warm welcome from around the world. Wonderful SC staff have helped us in so many ways, they really have made our trip.
